We gather, we don't report
2481 Maverick is an aggregator. We don't write stories or create the information you see here. We gather it from local outlets, councils, government services, venues, funeral directors and local families, and every item names its source and links back to it. The information belongs to them. If you're a source and want something changed or removed, tell us and we'll fix it straight away.
How it keeps going
Our goal is to reach as many locals as a local weekly paper: about 5,000 people. We're just getting started, so every share helps.
This site is the showcase for Maverick Digital, built by one marketer using AI responsibly and for good. If local businesses see what's possible here and want it for themselves, that's how the lights stay on. If we ever carry local ads, they'll be in the weekly email only, clearly labelled, and never on this site. Advertisers never get your name or email address, and we never sell your details.
We're not here to build an empire off our community. Just to make a fair living doing something useful for it.
